๐Ÿ  BUILDING SURVEYS offer the buyer a comprehensive and in-depth review on the condition of the property that they plan to purchase. They may also record the risks and potential ๐Ÿ’ฐ๐Ÿค‘๐Ÿ’ต๐Ÿ’ฐ that may be required for any remedial works.

Carried out by Chartered Surveyors, building surveys (as opposed to Home Buyer Reports) are typically carried out on older (50+ years) or listed buildings or where the buyer is planning on major works to the property.

So what might be included in a Building Survey report?
โœš general condition of a property
โœš identifiable defects
โœš any structural movement, subsidence or settlement
โœš detail of any rot or infestations such as woodworm
โœš alterations that may have been made to the property
โœš energy performance
โœš building services such as plumbing, drainage and electrics
โœš details of deterioration due to rising damp or surface condensation for example
